Role Overview

Walbrydge Technologies is looking for

Backend Lead Engineers

to own and drive the core backend architecture of our enterprise platform ecosystem.
This role is ideal for senior engineers who can combine

hands-on development

,

system design

, and

technical leadership

while building scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems powering multiple product modules.

You will play a critical role in designing APIs, defining backend workflows, and leading platform-level engineering decisions across admin systems, operations, analytics, and financial modules.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Architecture & Development

Lead backend engineering using

Node.js, .NET Core

, or a

polyglot architecture

where appropriate. Design and develop

RESTful and GraphQL APIs

, microservices, and modular backend components. Architect scalable backend systems supporting

high traffic, real-time workflows, and complex business logic

.

Platform & Module Ownership

Build and own backend workflows for: Admin Panel & Role-Based Access Control Operations Monitoring & Auditing Systems Trip Audits & Driver Management Heatmaps & Analytics Services Finance & Billing Dashboards Ensure consistency, reliability, and performance across all platform modules.

Data, Performance & Scalability

Own

database schema design

, data modeling, indexing strategies, and query optimization. Implement

caching layers, background workers, queues, and event-driven workflows

. Perform performance tuning, load testing, and scalability validation for critical services.

Engineering Leadership

Define backend coding standards, architecture patterns, and best practices. Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and architectural discussions. Mentor backend engineers and drive engineering excellence across the team.

Required Skills & Experience

8-12 years

of strong backend engineering experience. Hands-on expertise in

Node.js or .NET Core

(experience with both is a plus). Proven experience building

enterprise-grade APIs

and modular backend platforms. Strong database expertise: Relational:

PostgreSQL / SQL Server

NoSQL: Redis / MongoDB / similar Deep experience with:

Redis, Kafka, message queues, and event-driven systems

Asynchronous processing and background job orchestration Strong understanding of: Authentication & Authorization (RBAC, JWT, OAuth2) Secure API design and access control Experience designing

multi-tenant architectures
