The Opportunity



We are seeking a Backend Engineer to develop and own state of the art products that help bring people closer to their financial goals. As we build and scale Syfe over the next few years, our product and engineering team is growing and it is the perfect time to join the team at an early stage and create an impact within and outside the organisation.

What You'll Do



Improve system health by developing and maintaining backend services.



Automate operational processes to reduce manual workload and enhance efficiency.



Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve system issues.



Document processes and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.



Minimum Qualifications



Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.



Familiarity with backend programming, preferably in Java or Kotlin.



Basic understanding of database management systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL.



Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.



Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
