About the Role

We are looking for a passionate

Backend Development Intern

who can take complete ownership of building and managing backend APIs using

FastAPI

. You will work closely with the founder to bring a fully functional backend to life -- including user management, admin dashboard, LMS modules, cloud deployment, and integrations.

This is a hands-on opportunity where you will build from scratch and deploy to production -- ideal for someone who wants to own projects end-to-end.

Key Responsibilities

Build RESTful APIs using

FastAPI

for: User Authentication (Login, Signup, Roles - Advisor/Admin/Client) Content Modules (Videos, PDFs, Courses) Lead Management & CRM APIs (Redirect/Integrate with external lead systems) Proposal and PDF generation tools Dashboard analytics & insights Handle

cloud storage integrations

(like AWS S3) for file uploads and serving Setup and manage

Relational Database (PostgreSQL/MySQL)

using an ORM (SQLAlchemy / Tortoise) Integrate

payment gateway

(Razorpay or Stripe) for subscription handling Write email parser using IMAP/SMTP to fetch and filter investment-related emails Deploy backend on

AWS EC2

or

AWS Lambda

with Docker/Nginx/Uvicorn Write automated Swagger docs and test API endpoints

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of

Python

and

FastAPI

Understanding of REST APIs and authentication (JWT/OAuth2) Experience with

PostgreSQL / MySQL

Familiarity with

AWS services

- EC2, S3, IAM Knowledge of

Docker

, Git, and basic CI/CD Experience with any ORM like SQLAlchemy / Tortoise Ability to handle backend architecture independently Strong problem-solving and debugging skills

Bonus Skills (Good to Have)

Experience with email parsing using IMAP or Gmail API AWS Lambda deployment experience PDF generation using Python (e.g., ReportLab, WeasyPrint) Familiarity with any frontend (React/Vue) is a plus Interest in fintech / mutual funds / advisor tools
