Job Title: Backend Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs using C# and .NET Core. Develop secure, scalable, and high-performance application components for the ITS Platform. Integrate with internal and external data sources, ensuring efficient and reliable data flows. Create and optimize database schemas, queries, and stored procedures. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices. Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and QA teams to deliver end-to-end solutions. Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and planning sessions. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues across environments. Contribute to continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Strong proficiency in C# and .NET Core development. Hands-on experience building and consuming RESTful APIs. Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar). Experience with writing efficient queries, indexing, and database optimization. Understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git). Ability to work collaboratively in an agile, fast-paced environment.
Nice-to-Have Skills:

Experience with microservices architecture. Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP). Knowledge of messaging systems or event-driven architecture. Exposure to CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.). Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
