We at Khatabook, have a vision to empower MSMEs and help them increase their incomes. We have built a product that brings efficiency in MSME operations by providing them easy to use tools to manage their receivables, inventory and billing which creates transparency in their cash flow. Within the Khatabook platform, we have also enabled the facility to take loans for their short term working capital needs for select Khatabook users that are displaying good credit behavior. Our app has been downloaded over 100 Million times with a monthly active user base of 8 Million+ which are adding 220 Million+ transactions with a transaction value of $18 Billion.

Your role:
We, at Khatabook, are looking for a SDE 2 - Backend to help streamline the lending backend service.
What would you do at Khatabook?
Lead the design and implementation of scalable backend architectures.
Write high-quality, maintainable, and testable code.
Inspire and mentor junior developers to produce excellent code and follow engineering best practices
Collaborate with product, frontend, and DevOps teams to build robust systems and seamless data flows
Take complete ownership of product features -- from design to deployment
Ensure top-notch performance and experience for both internal engineers and external users.Build and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable client-facing and internal APIs
Writing unit-tests code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
Take ownership of product/features: end to end development with testing
What are we looking for?
3+ years of intense experience writing production backend services at scale
Good understanding of Algorithms, Data Structures, Object Oriented Design and Databases
Deep understanding of SQL database architecture - data modelling and scalable schema design
Working knowledge of message queues, NoSQL databases & caching systems
Good understanding of cloud platform (AWS or GCP) and building services for scale
Bonus points for experience with Java, Nodejs,Typescript, Lending or Payments domain
