We are seeking a talented and experienced Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in shaping the backbone of our technology infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration and functionality of our applications. As a Backend Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining robust backend systems that power our products and services, enabling us to deliver exceptional experiences to our users.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Node.js, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the frontend.
Collaborate with frontend teams to design and integrate APIs, supporting applications such as React Native.
Develop and manage serverless functions within cloud environments like Firebase, AWS, or GCP.
Build and consume RESTful and GraphQL APIs, ensuring efficient data flow and integration across services.
Work with Firestore, MongoDB, and SQL databases to manage data storage and retrieval effectively.
Ensure code quality and maintainability through best practices, including code reviews and testing.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the software development lifecycle, incorporating DevOps principles.
Communicate effectively with internal teams, providing technical insights and support as needed.
Participate in Agile development processes, utilizing tools like JIRA for task management and Git for version control.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
4+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer or in a similar role.
Proven proficiency in Node.js and experience working with serverless architectures in cloud environments.
Strong internal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience in building and integrating APIs, with a strong understanding of REST and GraphQL.
Familiarity with Firestore, MongoDB, or SQL databases.
Good spoken and written communication skills in English.
Ability to pass a React test, demonstrating understanding of frontend-backend integration.
