Backend Engineer (Python + AWS) - Pune | 4+ Years | Join ASAP

Job Summary

We are hiring a Backend Engineer with strong Python and AWS serverless experience. You will work on scalable APIs, event-driven pipelines, and backend workflows supporting IoT and telematics applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop REST APIs using

FastAPI/Flask

. Build

AWS Lambda

, API Gateway integrations, and EventBridge workflows. Work with

DynamoDB

, Step Functions and serverless orchestration. Implement authentication via

AWS Cognito/IAM

. Ensure reliability through retries, DLQs & idempotency. Work with IaC (

Terraform / CDK

) and CI/CD (

GitHub Actions

). Monitor performance using

CloudWatch & X-Ray

.

Required Skills:

Strong Python backend experience (4+ years). Hands-on with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, DynamoDB. Experience in REST API design & async processing (SQS/SNS/Kinesis). Testing knowledge (pytest) & IaC (Terraform/CDK).

Good to Have:

IoT Core, Timestream or Athena. Step Functions / serverless orchestration. Geospatial or time-series data experience.

Soft Skills:

Strong debugging & analytical skills. Good communication and documentation habits. Ability to work with architecture, data & product teams.
