About the internship
We are looking for a passionate backend intern with a strong foundation in Django, MySQL, and software design principles to join our engineering team. As a Backend Intern at Janitri, you will be involved in developing scalable, reliable, and maintainable backend systems that support our health monitoring solutions. This is an opportunity to work on a meaningful product in a fast-paced startup environment while honing your skills in backend development.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Collaborate with the backend team to develop new features and improve existing functionality.
2. Write clean, efficient, and scalable code using the Django framework.
3. Work with MySQL databases to ensure smooth data operations, including writing optimized queries.
4. Apply SOLID principles and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts in code design and implementation.
5. Implement and maintain backend design patterns that promote code reusability and scalability.
6. Debug and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring high availability and responsiveness of applications.
7. Participate in code reviews and adhere to best practices for code quality.
8. Solve complex problems with effective, efficient solutions.
Requirements:
1. Hands-on experience with Django (school projects, internships, or personal projects).
2. Solid understanding of MySQL and database design.
3. Knowledge of SOLID principles, OOP, and common design patterns.
4. Ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
5. Good problem-solving skills and logical thinking.
6. Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
7. Nice to Have:
8. Experience working with AWS or other cloud services.
9. Familiarity with Docker and containerization tools.
10. Knowledge of task queues like Celery and message brokers like AWS SQS.
