This is a full-time, on-campus hiring for Backend Developer role at NIMS University. There is no salary bar for deserving candidates. Applicants must have prior work experience in EdTech or University.

About the Role

NIMS University is looking for a talented

Backend Developer with React expertise

to join our growing development team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend services while collaborating with frontend developers to deliver seamless web applications for students, faculty, and administration.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop

scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services

and APIs. Collaborate with frontend developers (React) to ensure seamless integration between backend and UI. Develop

database schemas, queries, and optimization strategies

for high-volume applications. Implement

authentication, authorization, and security best practices

. Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code. Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems. Work closely with the product and academic teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's/Master's degree

in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

2-5 years of experience

in backend development. Strong expertise in

Node.js / Express.js

(or Django / Spring Boot if you prefer another stack). Experience with

RESTful APIs / GraphQL

design and development. Proficiency in

databases

(MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB). Familiarity with

cloud platforms

(AWS, Azure, or GCP). Understanding of

React.js

(enough to collaborate with frontend teams). Knowledge of

Git, CI/CD, Docker, containerization

. Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

Experience in

microservices architecture

. Knowledge of

university ERP or EdTech systems

. Familiarity with

TypeScript

(both backend and frontend). Understanding of

Agile/Scrum methodologies

.

Pay: ₹30,455.24 - ₹70,000.00 per month

NIMS University, Jaipur, Rajasthan: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
