Job description:

We are hiring a skilled Backend Developer with solid 6-7 years of experience in backend technologies and Apache Kafka. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of building scalable, reliable backend systems. You'll be part of a collaborative team focused on developing high-performance services and data-driven applications.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend systems and APIs.

-Implement and manage Kafka-based messaging systems for real-time data processing.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend, QA, and DevOps.

- Optimize code and systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.

- Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and architecture planning.

- Troubleshoot and debug production issues.

- Ensure code quality with unit tests and documentation.

Required Qualifications

- 7+ years of professional backend development experience.

- Proficient in one or more backend languages: Java, Node.js, Python, or Go.

- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka (producers, consumers, topic configuration, performance tuning).

- Solid understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture.

- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).

- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD tools, and Docker.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

- Knowledge of container orchestration (Kubernetes).

- Exposure to logging/monitoring tools like ELK, Prometheus, or Grafana.

- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
