About the Role
We are seeking a talented
Backend Developer (Node.js)
to join our growing team. You will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs, ensuring high performance and security. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, expertise in Node.js, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and efficient systems.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications using Node.js.
Build, test, and optimize RESTful APIs (and/or GraphQL APIs) for scalability.
Collaborate with frontend developers and product teams to integrate applications.
Design efficient data models and manage databases (SQL and NoSQL).
Implement security best practices, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
Ensure application performance, reliability, and responsiveness.
Write clean, testable, and maintainable code.
Participate in code reviews, unit/integration testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Proven experience as a Backend Developer with Node.js.
Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and familiarity with TypeScript.
Experience with frameworks like Express.js or NestJS.
Strong understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architecture.
Experience with databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis).
Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
Knowledge of asynchronous programming and event-driven systems.
Understanding of application security and authentication (JWT, OAuth).
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with NestJS.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Familiarity with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).
Exposure to testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Jasmine).
Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
