We are building

Yoco - a mobile app and web platform

- and are looking for a skilled

Backend Developer

to join our team. You will work closely with our Flutter mobile developer and React frontend developer, building and managing APIs that power the platform. This role requires someone who can take ownership of backend systems, ensure seamless integration, and deliver secure, scalable solutions.

Key Skills :

Backend Development (Node.js / Express.js) Database Management (MySQL / PostgreSQL / MongoDB) API Development & Integration Cloud Deployment (AWS / GCP / DigitalOcean) Authentication & Security Implementation Problem Solving & Debugging Version Control (Git)

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain

RESTful APIs

for mobile and web platforms.

Requirements

2-4 years

of proven experience in backend development. Strong proficiency in

Node.js / Express.js

(or a similar backend framework). Solid knowledge of at least one database system:

MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB

. Experience with

API testing/documentation tools

(Postman, Swagger, etc.). Hands-on experience with

server deployment

(AWS, GCP, DigitalOcean, etc.). Good understanding of

scalability, performance, and security best practices

. Ability to work independently and deliver solutions with minimal guidance.

Nice to Have (Optional but Valuable)

Experience with

Firebase

(Auth, Notifications, Realtime DB, Firestore). Exposure to

CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Docker

. Knowledge of

microservices architecture

and containerization. Manage

database design, queries, and optimization

for performance. Ensure smooth integration of APIs with

Flutter (Android/iOS)

and

React web frontend

. Implement

authentication, authorization, and data security

measures. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve backend issues independently. Deploy, monitor, and maintain backend services on

cloud/hosting platforms

. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
