Backend Developer (Java Spring Boot)

Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Backend Developer to join our offshore engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java and Spring Boot, with proven expertise in building scalable, cloud-native applications and microservices. This role demands hands-on experience with observability tools, NoSQL databases, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Technical Skills

6+ years of experience in backend development using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Reactive Programming Strong experience in microservices architecture, API integration, and database connectivity Proficient in working with observability tools for monitoring and performance analysis 2+ years of hands-on experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) Minimum 1.5 years of experience on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including deployment and cloud-native service integration

Roles and Responsibilities

Collaborate with a team of engineers to develop robust, scalable, and high-performance backend systems Implement and uphold quality engineering practices including unit testing, code reviews, and test automation Optimize applications for non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, and reliability Participate in the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring smooth build, test, and deployment processes * Take ownership of end-to-end application delivery, including coordination with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
