Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Backhaul Planning Executive to optimize return logistics operations by identifying and managing backhaul opportunities. The role involves coordinating vehicle routes, reducing empty miles, increasing fleet utilization, and working closely with operations and transport teams to enhance overall efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute backhaul transportation plans to maximize fleet usage.
  • Identify potential backhaul opportunities with internal and external partners.
  • Monitor vehicle movement and return routes using GPS and logistics software.
  • Coordinate with dispatch teams, suppliers, and transporters to arrange efficient backhauls.
  • Maintain records of transport schedules, loads, and delivery efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements in logistics operations.
  • Analyze transport data and prepare periodic reports on vehicle utilization and cost savings.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in transportation or logistics planning (backhaul experience preferred).
  • Knowledge of logistics software such as SAP TM, Oracle Transport, or TMS tools.
  • Strong data analysis and route optimization skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
