Role Description: As a Node.js backend Engineer(API) with expertise in AWS DevOps and microservices development, along with a strong understanding of system architecture, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining our AWS infrastructure, optimizing Node.js applications, and shaping our microservices-based systems. Your responsibilities will encompass setting up CI/CD pipelines, deploying EC2 instances, and contributing to the design of scalable and reliable system architectures. Key Responsibilities: AWS Infrastructure Management: Deploy, configure, and manage AWS EC2 instances and associated resources. Optimize AWS services for improved system performance and scalability. CI/CD Pipeline Setup: Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, or similar. Automate build, test, and deployment processes for Node.js applications and microservices. Node.js Backend and Microservices Development: Collaborate with the development team to build and maintain Node.js backend services. Design, develop, and enhance microservices-based applications, ensuring code quality and performance. System Architecture Design with AWS Microservices: Utilize AWS microservices such as Amazon S3, Amazon ECS, Amazon EKS, AWS Lambda, Amazon SQS, and others to design and develop scalable and reliable system architectures. Work closely with architects to implement best practices and design patterns. Automation and Scripting: Create automation scripts to streamline repetitive tasks and automate infrastructure provisioning. Implement infrastructure as code (IAC) using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation. Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Implement monitoring solutions (e.g., CloudWatch) to proactively monitor system health. Respond to incidents, troubleshoot issues, and apply fixes as required. Security and Compliance: Enforce security best practices and maintain compliance with industry standards. Conduct regular security assessments and apply necessary security updates. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation for infrastructure, system architecture, and deployment processes. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and share knowledge. Qualifications: Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 2-3 years of experience in AWS DevOps, Node.js backend development, microservices architecture, and system architecture design. Proficiency in deploying and managing AWS resources, especially EC2 instances. Experience in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. Strong programming skills in Node.js with databases such as MongoDB. Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Preferred Qualifications: AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Developer). Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon ECS). Familiarity with serverless computing and AWS Lambda. In-depth understanding of microservices architecture and system design principles. Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git and AWS Code Commit). Awareness of security and compliance best practices.
