Job Description

Child Supervision and Safety:

Oversee children's safety and well-being at all times, both indoors and outdoors. Respond to injuries and emergencies by administering basic first aid and contacting parents or emergency services when necessary.

Basic Care and Hygiene:

Provide hands-on care, including preparing meals and snacks, feeding, bathing, changing diapers, and helping with dressing.

Activities and Development:

Plan and implement age-appropriate games, creative arts and crafts, and outdoor activities to promote children's physical, emotional, and intellectual development.

Routine and Structure:

Maintain consistent daily routines for meals, naps, and bedtime, adhering to parental instructions and schedules.

Environment:

Ensure the care environment is clean, safe, and organized, including tidying play areas and children's rooms.

Communication:

Keep parents/guardians informed about daily activities, the child's progress, behavioral updates, and any accidents or concerns.

Light Housekeeping:

Perform light housekeeping duties directly related to child care, such as children's laundry, cleaning up after meals, and washing dishes used by the children.

Transportation:

Transport children to and from school, extracurricular activities, appointments, and playdates.

Education and Homework:

Assist older children with homework and school assignments as needed.
Qualifications and Skills

Patience and Reliability:

Demonstrate a calm, patient demeanor and be a reliable, punctual, and responsible caregiver.

Experience:

Prior experience in babysitting or child care is often preferred.

First Aid Certification:

A basic first aid certification may be required or highly beneficial.

Communication Skills:

Excellent verbal communication skills to effectively interact with children and their parents.

Problem-Solving:

Ability to identify and address behavioral issues or challenges as they arise.

Adaptability:

Willingness to follow the specific instructions and preferences of the family.
