The Senior Logistics Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing end to end logistics operations, including warehousing, transportation, distribution, inventory management, and vendor coordination. This role ensures high service levels, operational excellence, cost efficiency, and strong alignment with organizational goals. The Senior Logistics Manager also mentors the logistics team and drives strategic initiatives to improve supply chain performance.

1. Strategic Logistics Planning
Develop and implement logistics strategies that support business growth and operational efficiency.
Forecast logistics requirements and plan capacity for warehousing, transportation, and manpower.
Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.

2. Operations Management
Oversee daily logistics operations across warehouses, distribution centers, and transportation networks.
Ensure on time dispatch, delivery, and accurate order fulfillment for B2B, B2C, eCommerce, or omni channel operations (as applicable).
Monitor inbound outbound operations, cross docking, last mile operations, and reverse logistics.

3. Inventory and Warehouse Control
Ensure stock accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation.
Optimize storage utilization, put away processes, picking efficiency, and dispatch planning.
Coordinate with warehouse teams to maintain 5S, safety, and compliance standards.

4. Vendor, 3PL and Transport Management
Manage relationships with transporters, courier partners, and 3PL service providers.
Develop performance metrics and conduct regular reviews to ensure SLA adherence.
Evaluate vendors, negotiate contracts, and optimize freight and warehousing costs.

5. Cross Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Sales, Planning, Finance, Category, and Customer Service teams to ensure seamless operations.
Serve as the escalation point for operational issues, delivery failures, or service disruptions.
Support new product launches, distribution expansions, and network transitions.

6. Compliance and Documentation
Ensure adherence to statutory requirements: e way bills, LR, invoices, audit documentation, safety norms, etc.
Maintain accurate and updated documentation for dispatches, returns, RTV, and logistics records.

7. Performance Monitoring and Reporting
Track key KPIs: OTIF, fill rate, inventory accuracy, transit time, RTO %, cost per shipment, warehouse productivity, etc.
Prepare weekly monthly MIS dashboards for leadership review.
Analyze trends and recommend corrective actions to strengthen supply chain reliability.

8. Team Leadership
Lead, coach, and mentor logistics executives, supervisors, and warehouse team members.
Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer centric operations.
Allocate resources effectively and ensure capability building within the team.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or related field (MBA preferred).
7-12 years of experience in logistics supply chain, with at least 3+ years in a managerial or senior role.
Strong understanding of warehousing, transportation, freight management, and 3PL operations.
Proficiency in WMSTMS ERP systems and advanced Excel Google Sheets.
Excellent communication, leadership, analytical, and decision making skills.
Ability to manage large scale operations and perform under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in FMCG, eCommerce, Retail, Manufacturing, or Omni-channel logistics.
Expertise in cost optimization, network design, and logistics automation tools.
