Development of design for new concepts, product development, improvements and Cost reduction Preparation of Change content, Add-Del, Engineering releases as per project stage Failure Analysis, design resolutions & closures for field reported concerns Development of DVP, DFX, DFMEA and SOPs etc. as per project requirements & ensuring closures before design release. Preparation of Statement of Requirement SOR, Tech-Synthesis, performance/ suitability evaluation for proprietary parts Support to production plants on Line trials & new product implementation, releases for SPD Coordination with engine testing, analysis of parts from engine endurance and field testing & taking corrective actions Support to service on change content, workshop manual, operator manual & spec releases Leading project activities with consultants (RFQ generation, project management, technical query handling, ensuring deliverables with manufacturability & serviceability considerations) Lead formal technical design reviews (Gate Reviews) to manage risks at critical project milestones and ensure designs meet cost targets and manufacturability criteria.

Additional Skills:

Sound understanding of Engine Components & their functions, engineering materials and metallurgy basics Sound working experience on engine components like Valve train, crank train, cooling and lubricating circuit, critical fasteners, cylinder head & Block Expertise on design calculation for bolted joints, tolerance stack up, engine loads etc Experience on any simulation software: AVL excite, Kiss soft, GT etc is desirables. Excellent understanding of GD&T and tolerance stack-up Sound understanding of Manufacturing & control processes related to engine components Ability to take decision based on CAE, CFD, Simulation and Engine test data Good Analytical and problem solving ability Working experience on CRDi system and electronics engine is desirable * Familiar to use product lifecycle tools like PLM / Team enter for review and approval
