Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced candidate for Controls Engineering to lead our team in developing and implementing advanced control systems. This pivotal role requires deep expertise in managing complex CAN (Controller Area Network) matrix designs and intricate electronic system requirements. The successful candidate will be a technical leader, mentor, and strategic planner, responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of control system development, from concept to production, ensuring robust, efficient, and innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership & System Design:

Lead the design, development, and validation of complex control systems for Engine control system. Provide expert guidance and hands-on support in architecting, designing, and optimizing highly complex CAN matrices, ensuring efficient data communication, network robustness, and scalability across various ECUs (Electronic Control Units) and Machine control pannels. Define and manage intricate electronic system requirements, including sensor integration, actuator control, power electronics interfaces, and communication protocols. Oversee the development of detailed control algorithms, software architectures, and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulations. Drive the adoption of best practices in controls engineering, including model-based design, functional safety (e.g., ISO 26262), and cyber-physical system security.

Team Management & Development:

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of controls engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement. Manage resource allocation, project timelines, and budget for multiple controls engineering projects. Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify professional development opportunities for team members.

Project Management & Strategy:

Oversee the end-to-end execution of controls engineering projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration and successful product launches. Develop and implement strategic roadmaps for controls technology, identifying future trends and opportunities for innovation. Represent the controls engineering department in high-level technical discussions and presentations to internal and external stakeholders.

Quality & Compliance:

Ensure all control system designs and implementations comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines. Implement robust testing and validation methodologies to guarantee system performance, reliability, and safety. * Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for complex technical issues.
