Medical Examinations and Certifications Pre-employment Examination:

To carry out the medical examination for new workers to ensure their fitness for employment.

Periodical Medical Examination

(PME): To conduct regular, periodic medical examinations of workers, especially those engaged in hazardous processes, to detect early signs of occupational diseases . This includes recording the nature and results of tests in a health register (e.g., Form No. 7).

Certification of Fitness:

If a worker is found unfit for a specific process (e.g., due to health risk), the FMO (or Certifying Surgeon) makes a record of findings and the period for which the person is unfit. Re-examination: Re-examining a worker to certify fitness for re-employment after they have been declared unfit

Emergency and Medical Care Emergency Medical Assistance

: To render medical assistance during any medical emergency or accident

First Aid Oversight

: To ensure the proper maintenance and equipping of the fully equipped first-aid boxes and to manage the medical facility within the factory premises

Provision of Medicine

: Maintaining and distributing medicine as prescribed by doctors

Preventive Health and Compliance Preventive Health Programs

: Implementing and supervising preventive health programs and educating employees on health maintenance and disease prevention.

Occupational Health Management:

Monitoring occupational health standards and ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety regulations. Workplace Sanitation: Overseeing workplace sanitation and hygiene standards.

Health Record Keeping:

Maintaining accurate and detailed health records of all workers, ensuring the confidentiality of this information. Records must include details of medical examinations, treatments, and health incidents. *

Collaboration:

Working closely with the factory management and safety officers to enhance and develop workplace health and safety policies.
