Job Title: Azure Security Engineer (4 to 6 years)

Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Azure Security Engineer to design, implement, and manage security controls across Microsoft Azure environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Azure security services, cloud governance, threat protection, and incident response, ensuring secure and compliant cloud infrastructure for enterprise workloads.
Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage security solutions within Microsoft Azure environments.
• Configure and monitor Azure security services including Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Sentinel (SIEM), Azure Policy, and Azure Monitor.
• Implement identity and access management using Azure AD (Entra ID), RBAC, Conditional Access, and MFA.
• Secure Azure networking components such as NSGs, Azure Firewall, Application Gateway, and WAF.
• Perform security assessments, vulnerability management, and risk analysis for Azure workloads.
• Monitor, investigate, and respond to cloud security incidents and alerts.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Benchmarks, and organizational policies.
• Collaborate with cloud architects, DevOps, and SOC teams to embed security best practices.
• Develop and maintain security documentation, playbooks, and standard operating procedures.
• Stay updated with emerging Azure security features, threats, and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience securing Microsoft Azure environments.
• Experience with Azure Sentinel (SIEM), Defender for Cloud, and log analytics.
• Solid understanding of Azure AD (Entra ID), identity governance, RBAC, and Conditional Access.
• Knowledge of Azure networking and security controls (NSGs, Firewall, WAF).
• Experience with vulnerability management and security posture management.
• Understanding of cloud security concepts, zero trust architecture, and shared responsibility model.
• Good knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Azure security certifications such as:
• AZ-500: Microsoft Azure Security Technologies
• Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst (SC-200)
• Experience with scripting or automation (PowerShell, Azure CLI).
• Exposure to DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipeline security.
