Job Purpose

As part of the Integration Team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting data integration solutions using Azure Data Factory (ADF), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and Azure Logic Apps. You will collaborate with IT teams and university departments to ensure efficient and secure data integration across systems, aligning with the University's IT Integration Strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain data integration workflows using ADF, SSIS, and Azure Logic Apps.

Support the migration of existing SSIS packages to Azure Data Factory.

Work closely with IT project teams and solution architects to ensure integrations meet business requirements.

Develop and maintain technical and support documentation for all integrations.

Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve integration incidents and change requests via the IT Service Desk.

Contribute to continuous improvement by optimizing integration frameworks and processes.

Provide resource estimates and input during project planning.

Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Degree / HND / NVQ 4 (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Proven experience developing integration solutions using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and Azure Data Factory (ADF).

Strong understanding of system integration concepts, middleware principles, and data transfer mechanisms.

Experience with Azure DevOps, Logic Apps, and cloud-based integration tools.

Solid knowledge of SQL (MS SQL / Oracle) and related tools.

Familiarity with Web Services / APIs (REST, SOAP), XML / JSON / XSLT, and data authentication protocols (OAuth, SSL, HTTPS).

Knowledge of Agile / Waterfall methodologies.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
