Azure DevOps Engineer Role Description We are looking for highly motivated Azure DevOps Engineer to join our team. The candidate is expected to demonstrate an ability to think strategically and be innovative while working in an agile and collaborative team-oriented environment. The candidate must be comfortable working with analysts, developers and architects across multiple teams to collaboratively design creative solutions to complex problems. Core Knowledge o Design, build and maintain Cloud based solutions across multiple platforms. o Entire application lifecycle knowledge Design, Development, deployment, operation and maintenance in an Agile and DevOps culture. Experience o Experience administering applications servers and web servers on Azure IaaS o Experience in Azure DevOps Agile/Kanban practice o Experience in Oracle Pl/Sql o Experience in secure file transfers, file transfer protocols and file encryption o Experience configuring infrastructure for high availability, troubleshooting issues within middleware space and tuning Internet/Intranet Web Applications to improve performance and stability o Familiarity with PowerShell or Perl or other scripting o Ability to write, use and update scripts to automate daily operations o Flexibility to support and manage a dynamic 24/7 production as well as the other testing environments Attributes o Analytical, problem-solving, collaborative, detail-oriented Responsibilities o Establish and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes. o Work in an SRE culture to ensure the availability, scalability, and reliability of our applications. o Ensure the application meets quality standards by developing and implementing automated tests, including unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests o Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and other team activities to ensure code quality and maintainability. o Oversee the release process working closely with development and architect teams ensuring deployments and having contingency plans for rollbacks if needed o Continuously learn and stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, trends, and industry best practices o Partners with Engineers to develop robust automation of platform deployment and update processes o Documents design decisions and develops solutions while adhering to existing process guidelines Skills (representative but not limited to) o Proficiency in Azure Cloud Technologies and services. o Knowledge of CI/CD to automate the build, test, and deployment processes. o Database knowledge, preferably Oracle. o Scheduler tool knowledge such as Control-M job scheduler. o Familiarity with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes. o Experience with version control systems like Git or Azure Repos. o Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash is necessary to automate repetitive tasks and build efficient workflows. o Understanding of Monitoring and Logging with Cloud services. o Knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban. o Excellent communication skills: experience in communicating with tech and non-tech teams. Nice to have o Experience on Azure & PCF o Financial Domain/ Trading technologies experience o Exposure to Oracle Databases o BO Central Management console knowledge would be added advantage. Experience o Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline o Overall 9+ Years of Industry experience o Experience in agile development methodology
