Azure DBA- (10+ years) Gurgaon Location

Our client is looking for someone who holds expertise in building massively scalable distributed data processing solutions with Azure Data Lake Storage and Azure SQL Data Warehouse (Synapse). We need someone with sound understanding of Azure SQL with proven experience with performance monitoring, analysis, and tuning of relational databases.

Responsibilities- * Administer databases with regards to efficiency, data security, user security, and system integrity.

• Enhance operational and performance monitoring, and alerting using New Relic and other tools.
• Provide ongoing performance improvements including optimizing query performance through TSQL improvements, indexes, partitioning, and operational resources.
• Performing automation of tasks
• Establishing high availability configurations where appropriate
• Ensuring high-security measures are implemented
• Architect new transactional and data warehouse databases.
• Improve DevOps pipelines and create jobs to make dev to QA environment progression more seamless

Requirements- * Azure SQL DBA experience with Azure Data Warehouse knowledge.

• Excellent understanding of Azure SQL with proven experience with performance monitoring, analysis, and tuning of relational databases. This includes the use of T-SQL, Query Store, hints, Dynamic Management Views, Azure Monitor SQL Insights, indexes, statistics, query plan analysis
• Proven experience with DevOps pipelines especially Azure DevOps
• Developing automation scripts for database engineering in PowerShell or other automation languages like Python.
• Experience working in Microsoft Azure pipeline DevOps and coding ARM template
