Job Title: Azure Data Engineer Job Summary
An Azure Data Engineer designs, builds, and maintains scalable data solutions on Microsoft Azure. The role focuses on data ingestion, transformation, storage, and analytics to support business intelligence, reporting, and advanced analytics. Key Responsibilities
Design and develop data pipelines using Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Databricks
Build and manage data lakes using Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)
Optimize data storage and performance for large-scale datasets
Implement ETL/ELT processes to transform raw data into analytics-ready formats
Work with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources
Ensure data quality, reliability, and security
Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data workflows
Implement CI/CD and version control for data solutions Required Skills
Strong experience with Microsoft Azure data services
Proficiency in SQL
Experience with Python, Scala, or Spark
Hands-on knowledge of:
Azure Data Factory
Azure Synapse Analytics
Azure Databricks
Azure Data Lake
Understanding of data warehousing and data modeling
Experience with big data concepts and distributed systems Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Microsoft certification (e.g., DP-203: Azure Data Engineer Associate)
Experience with Power BI or other reporting tools
Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Git
Familiarity with streaming tools (e.g., Event Hubs, Kafka) Soft Skills
Strong problem-solving abilities
Good communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work with large, complex datasets
