About the Role

aCloud is a Professional Services team delivering project-based Azure services, including cloud assessments, architecture uplift recommendations, migrations, and solution deployments.



The Azure Consultant is responsible for independent delivery of Azure workstreams, contributing to solution design, leading hands-on deployments, and engaging directly with customers across Azure migration and transformation projects.



This role bridges execution and architecture, requiring strong technical capability, sound judgment, and the ability to operate with limited supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Assessment & Design

Perform Azure environment assessments covering compute, networking, identity, security, and governance. Apply the Azure Well-Architected Framework to assess existing Azure environments and validate solution designs, identifying gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities across reliability, security, cost optimisation, operational excellence, and performance efficiency. Identify architectural gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities. Contribute to Azure solution designs, landing zone architectures, and migration strategies. Translate assessment findings into practical, deployable solutions.

Project Delivery & Deployment

Lead Azure project engagements including landing zone implementations and workload migrations. Design and deploy Azure infrastructure including networking, compute, and storage. Implement Azure security and governance solutions including Azure Policy, RBAC, monitoring, and logging. Execute deployments using Infrastructure-as-Code where applicable

Identity & Security

Design and implement Entra ID and Conditional Access solutions. Ensure Azure solutions align with security, compliance, and organisational requirements.

Delivery Ownership & Customer Engagement

Execute work independently and own assigned workstreams. Act as a technical point of contact for customers. Lead testing, validation, and cutover activities. Provide customer training and knowledge transfer. Produce solution documentation and handover artefacts. Identify delivery risks and escalate appropriately.

Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with Azure services and architecture. Practical experience delivering Azure infrastructure and migrations. Solid Azure networking, identity, security, and governance knowledge. Experience working in project-based or consulting environments. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Good to Have

Microsoft certifications AZ-104, AZ-305. Experience delivering Azure landing zones. Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Bicep, Terraform). Exposure to enterprise or regulated Azure environments.
