Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced
Azure Cloud & Linux Administrator (L2)
to manage, monitor, and support our cloud and Linux infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Azure cloud administration, Linux server management, backup and recovery solutions, and cross-functional coordination. This role focuses on ensuring high system availability, performance optimization, and secure operations across the cloud environment.
Configure and manage KPIs for VMs and OS metrics using Azure native tools.
Monitor cloud environments, troubleshoot VM-level issues, and coordinate with the cloud provider for escalations.
Create, update, and delete VMs, manage users and groups, and modify VM sizing and configurations per Service Requests (SR).
Apply OS and application patches as per defined maintenance windows using customer or native tools.
Manage SSL certificates (renewal, deployment, validation).
Work with the backup team to configure and maintain backup policies (frequency and retention) using Azure Backup or Commvault.
Troubleshoot backup performance and restore failures.
Optimize virtual machine performance and implement Azure Advisor recommendations to reduce cost.
Troubleshoot and manage Azure Load Balancer configurations and performance.
Assist storage and AD teams with troubleshooting Azure Blob Storage and Active Directory performance issues.
Network & Security Support
Collaborate with cloud provider, network, and firewall teams for incident resolution and configuration updates.
Assist with VNet peering, subnet, route, gateway, NSG, ACL, and DNS management.
Support provisioning of new VNets/spokes and ensure configuration backups before and after changes.
Assist firewall teams in configuring firewall rules, policies, and KPIs as per client standards.
Backup & Restore Management
Support configuration and troubleshooting of backup and restore operations using Azure Backup or Commvault.
Assist the backup team in restoring data during backup failures or incidents.
Linux Administration
Manage CPU, memory, and disk utilization for Linux servers (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu).
Perform disk management, partition creation, file system setup, and OS-level space optimization.
Manage user accounts, permissions, access rights, and concurrent logins.
Handle system logs, incident resolution, and patch deployments.
Support software installation, reconfiguration, and server reinstalls due to incidents.
Manage logical volumes, partitions, and console access.
Conduct and maintain operational checklists (daily/weekly/monthly).
Analyze recurring incidents and perform root cause analysis (RCA).
Maintain infrastructure documentation, SOPs, and AS-IS configurations.
Prepare Major Incident Reports (MIR) and coordinate with vendors for issue resolution.
Support availability, capacity, and risk management activities.
Participate in restoration drills and drive continual service improvement initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications
Microsoft Certified:
Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
Red Hat Certified System Administrator (
RHCSA
) or equivalent Linux certification.
Experience with
PowerShell or Bash scripting
for automation.
