Job Description

Monitor Azure infrastructure (VMs, storage, network.) using Azure Monitor, SolarWinds.- Acknowledge and respond to alerts and incidents- Manage VM tasks such as start/stop/restart, resizing, and performance monitoring.- Troubleshoot VM issues like RDP/SSH failures, agent errors, or high resource usage.- Monitor Azure Backup jobs and Recovery Services Vaults.- Initiate manual backups and perform VM-level restores.- Report backup failures and resolve persistent issues.- Verify NSG rules and troubleshoot inbound/outbound VM access issues.- Validate VNet/subnet associations and peering status.- Check DNS configurations, perform basic name resolution tests.- Use of Network Watcher tools (IP Flow Verify, Connection Troubleshoot, Effective NSG, Next Hop).- Review Microsoft Defender for Cloud security recommendations.- Execute pre-approved PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Azure Automation Runbooks.- Prepare standard Azure cost report- Identify unused resources like unattached disks, idle public IPs, and unused NICs and perform cleanup actions - Maintain accurate ticket notes, shift handover documents, and SOP updates.- Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) drills and backup restore validation.- Check replication health for ASR (Azure Site Recovery)- Change & Problem Management- Implement approved change request- Support root cause analysis by providing logs and insights.- Comply with CAB (Change Advisory Board) processes.- Provide timely updates during incident calls and bridge meetings.- Communicate clearly with end users and stakeholders.- Willing to learn technologies and methodologies to better support the product - Coach and mentor other team members as needed - Ready to work 24/7 shifts.
