we are seeking a dynamic and passionate Ayurvedic Assistant, to supports doctors, therapists, and pharmacy staff in delivering safe and authentic Ayurvedic care. This role involves assisting in patient preparation, helping with therapy setups, supporting basic medicine preparation activities, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations inside the Ayurvedic medicine-preparation of our hospital. The position requires responsibility, compassion, and a willingness to learn traditional practices.
/ Key Role
The Ayurvedic Assistant plays a supporting role across multiple departments, ensuring that patients receive timely service and that treatment areas, medicines, and records are properly managed. The assistant works under the guidance of Ayurvedic physicians and senior therapists.
Duties and Responsibilities
Clinical & Therapy Support
Help prepare patients for treatments and assist therapists during procedures when required.
Arrange therapy materials such as oils, linens, herbal packs, and equipment.
Ensure that treatment rooms are clean, organized, and ready before each session.
Observe patient comfort and report any issues to the concerned therapist or doctor.
Medicine Preparation & Pharmacy Support
Assist in cleaning, sorting, drying, and basic processing of medicinal herbs.
Help label, pack, and store prepared medicines safely.
Maintain simple records of medicine stock issued and received.
Follow hygiene and safety protocols strictly.
Administrative & Operational Support
Maintain patient files and help with basic documentation.
Support appointment coordination, patient flow, and general inquiries.
Assist in maintaining inventory of supplies and report shortages.
Participate in internal training programs to improve knowledge and skills.
General Duties
Maintain hospital cleanliness standards across therapy rooms and common areas.
Adhere to hospital rules, confidentiality, and ethical practices.
Work cooperatively with doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and therapists.
Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum 12th/ Diploma standard education (higher qualification preferred).
Basic knowledge or interest in Ayurveda and healthcare.
Prior experience in an Ayurvedic clinic or hospital is an added advantage (not mandatory).
Ability to follow instructions carefully and complete tasks responsibly.
Good communication, helping attitude, and team spirit.
Physically fit and able to assist with daily hospital activities.
