Our Chief Data & Analytics Office, also known as our Innovation, Data & Analytics team (IDA), is focused on driving innovation by optimizing how we leverage data to drive strategy and create a new business model \xe2\x80\x93 disrupting the insurance market.

Our IDA Data Controls team makes sure that our data and digital data products and platforms are secure and compliant. As we develop our enterprise-wide data strategy, we are seeking a clear and robust Data Security strategy across AXA XL. The role will support the team\xe2\x80\x99s efforts in creating secure and compliant end-to-end strategic, scalable, and performant Data platforms designed and developed for the enterprise value chain.

This is a hands-on role that will require you to support Axiom data security process efficiency and effectiveness improvement. You will be looking to develop the modernization of Axiom operating processes, helping to support risk reduction and lay the foundations for DCP\xe2\x80\x99s (Digital Commercial Platform) future state.

The Axiom process is important, as any delays to the improvement of its process efficiency and effectiveness could potentially lead to a failed audit, negatively impacting our reputation, or causing delays to DCP rollout across AXA Group. Recent Deloitte Risk Assessments have identified data control deficiencies that would fail audit scrutiny. So, you will need to hit the ground running, working within your team and with team members from other disciplines to deliver data-driven answers together. \xe2\x80\x9c

What will your essential responsibilities include?

  • Proven ability in process re-engineering to improve business outcomes.
  • Develop/create visual images of business processes to support and underpin process improvement.
  • Support process reengineering initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support Data Security Training needs across the IDA Team \xe2\x80\x93 Privacy, Security, and Controls.
  • Support Axiom Data Security process efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop the modernization of Axiom operating processes.
  • Stakeholder meeting facilitation to document processes and agree on KPIs / KRIs.
  • Work with others across the organization to support projects to make sure our data is protected, compliant, and secure.

Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Robust Analytical skills, including continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Regulatory Requirements, particularly GDPR, and financial regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of IT Security policies and auditing standards.
  • Ability to build robust relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Knowledge of the insurance sector.
Desired Skills and Abilities:
  • Work well with a team, or be self-directed as required.
  • Work well under pressure and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Robust interpersonal skills, collaborative, technically motivated, and creative, client-oriented with a desire to learn AXA XL\xe2\x80\x99s business.
  • Solid communication (oral & written), and relationship-building skills.
  • Understand cultural differences and be effective in working in a diverse environment.
  • Has a familiarity with Data Security, Data Privacy, Data Controls, and Data Management.
  • Has membership in ISACA or other Security bodies would be advantageous.
  • Willing to work as part of a global team (including outsourcing) spanning multiple time zones.
  • Willing to learn the business/operational environment, policies, procedures, quality, compliance & regulatory standards while applying your knowledge and skills.
