AWS & GCP Delivery Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced AWS & GCP Delivery Manager with 16+ years of proven expertise in managing and delivering complex cloud infrastructure, data, application development, application modernization, and DevOps projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on technical experience in both AWS and GCP platforms, combined with exceptional project delivery and team leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery Management

Lead end-to-end delivery of AWS and GCP cloud infrastructure projects, ensuring on-time, within-budget, and high-quality execution Manage multiple concurrent projects across cloud infrastructure, data platforms, application development, and modernization initiatives Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies Drive agile/scrum methodologies and best practices across delivery teams Establish and monitor KPIs, SLAs, and project metrics to ensure delivery excellence

Technical Leadership

Provide hands-on technical guidance on AWS and GCP cloud architecture, design patterns, and best practices Lead application modernization initiatives including lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and cloud-native transformations Oversee data migration, data platform implementation, and analytics solution delivery on AWS and GCP Guide DevOps practices including CI/CD pipeline implementation, infrastructure as code, and automation Conduct technical reviews, architecture assessments, and provide recommendations for optimization Stay current with AWS and GCP service updates, emerging technologies, and industry trends

Stakeholder Management

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders Manage client expectations, provide regular status updates, and escalate issues appropriately Facilitate workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and technical discussions Build and maintain strong relationships with client technical and business teams Present project updates, technical solutions, and recommendations to C-level executives

Team Leadership

Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing cross-functional delivery teams Foster a collaborative culture focused on innovation, quality, and continuous improvement Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and support career development Manage resource planning, allocation, and optimize team utilization Facilitate knowledge sharing and establish communities of practice

Required Qualifications

Experience

16+ years of overall IT experience with at least 8+ years focused on AWS and GCP cloud platforms 5+ years in delivery management or program management roles with proven track record Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, etc. Strong hands-on experience with GCP services including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, GKE, VPC, IAM, Deployment Manager, etc. Proven experience leading application modernization and cloud migration projects Deep experience with DevOps tools and practices (Jenkins, GitLab, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes) Experience with data platforms, data lakes, data warehouses, and analytics solutions on AWS and GCP

Technical Skills

Strong understanding of cloud architecture patterns, microservices, and distributed systems Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates) Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, GKE) Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools Familiarity with multiple programming languages (Python, Java, Node.js, etc.) Understanding of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, data warehousing) Experience with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Stackdriver, Prometheus, Grafana) Knowledge of security best practices, compliance frameworks, and governance in cloud environments

Certifications (Preferred)

AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional or Associate AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer PMP, Prince2, or Agile/Scrum certifications
