Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer with strong expertise in AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and resilient cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in automation, infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native monitoring and optimization.



Key Responsibilities:

Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure across AWS and Google Cloud environments.

Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Deployment Manager.

Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions.

Collaborate with development and operations teams to automate and streamline deployments.

Configure and monitor cloud resources for cost efficiency, performance, and security compliance.

Manage cloud networking, IAM, and security policies, ensuring compliance with best practices.

Support container orchestration using Kubernetes (EKS / GKE) and Docker.

Troubleshoot issues in cloud environments, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.

Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions using CloudWatch, Stackdriver, or Datadog.

Participate in on-call support rotation and assist with incident response and disaster recovery planning.



Required Skills and Experience:

7-8 years of IT experience with at least 5 years in cloud engineering or operations.

Strong knowledge of AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, ECS/EKS) or GCP (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, IAM, Cloud Functions, GKE, Cloud SQL).

Proficiency in Terraform / CloudFormation for IaC.

Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting (Bash / Python).

Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Cloud Build.

Knowledge of networking concepts -- VPN, VPC peering, load balancers, DNS, firewalls, etc.

Strong understanding of DevOps principles and monitoring/logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Stackdriver, Splunk, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).

Familiarity with security best practices (encryption, key management, compliance frameworks).



Good to Have:

Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architectures.

Experience with Snowflake, BigQuery, or data pipelines.

Certification in AWS Certified Solutions Architect / DevOps Engineer / Google Professional Cloud Engineer.

Experience with Ansible, Puppet, or other configuration management tools.
