General Manager - Audit

As the General Manager - Audit at Awfis, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the audit function across the organization. You will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Audit Planning and Execution:

- Develop audit plans based on risk assessment and business priorities.

- Execute audits in accordance with established procedures and timelines.

- Conduct thorough reviews of financial statements, processes, and controls.

Risk Management:

- Identify and assess risks within the organization.

- Implement controls to mitigate risks effectively.

- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of risk management strategies.

Compliance and Regulation:

- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and accounting standards.

- Stay updated on changes in regulatory requirements and industry practices.

- Work closely with legal and compliance teams to address any compliance issues.

Team Leadership and Development:

- Lead a team of audit professionals, providing guidance and support as needed.

- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the audit team.

- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Stakeholder Communication:

- Communicate audit findings and recommendations to senior management and relevant stakeholders.

- Collaborate with business units to implement audit recommendations and drive process improvements.

- Serve as a point of contact for internal and external auditors.

Quality Assurance:

- Implement quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of audit findings.

- Review audit reports and documentation to maintain high standards of quality.

- Identify areas for improvement in audit methodologies and practices.

Qualifications:

- CA

- Proven experience in internal audit, external audit, or risk management, preferably in the auditing, real estate or hospitality industry

- Strong understanding of audit principles, practices, and techniques.

- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.

- Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office applications.
