Introduction: The QA Automation team is responsible for signing off all releases to UAT (for user sign off) and ultimately Production. We have developed (and still continue to develop) a state-of-art business priority & automation platform which allows components, integration as well as full front-to-back testing. The role is for a Business Functional Test Engineer in the “Order Management System” team. You will be tasked with writing new business use cases as well as modifying/maintaining the existing test suite related to the Cash Equities business. You are required to work on big and complex projects with PMO/Product owner and validate business scenarios. The Cash EQ space encompasses the sales, trading side as well as Smart Order Router and all Algos provided to our clients (including dark pools) so needless to say that you will learn everything there is to know about a Cash Trading. . The role also includes liaising with the BA-PM and BTB teams in order to understand the business changes they are making so that the release scenarios can be changed accordingly; talking with QA stakeholders and numerous Test Engineer split in multiple locations.

  • Experience leading the testing of large scale deliverables on Trading and High Touch business applications
  • Leading of multi-task across Equities Front Office Sales and Trading applications releases/automation/ work streams/tasks
  • Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders
  • To gather requirements, collect and provide feedback and test status on regular basis.
  • Support of On going New/ BAU release effort across QA, UAT phases of new releases SUT (System Under Test)
  • Help manage business priority use cases to ensuring support of test efforts and schedules.
  • Collaborate with development teams on common approach of Continuous delivery model
  • Deliver high quality work
  • Develop and design complex projects end to end business scenarios

What we’re looking for:
  • Sound knowledge of Equity & Derivatives markets– Options & Future
  • Knowledge of Equities Trading workflow
  • Clear understanding of Compliance & Regulatory flows
  • Knowledge of Operation- Front, Middle and Back office business workflow.
  • Develop test strategy and help with creation and execution of business use cases for applications, integration and flow within Equity trading platform
  • Planning, developing, and executing tests against algorithmic trading and order management systems.
  • Experience working in a fast paced Agile environment and managing QA deliverables
  • Excellent knowledge in E2E test lifecycle (estimations, plan, strategy, scenarios, cases, execution, coordination, reporting)
  • Be able to interact with global teams
  • Experience in project management
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with others, self-starter
  • Able to take on responsibility and work independently
  • Fluent English – oral and written
  • Results-oriented, self-starter with positive "can-do" attitude

Skills that will help you in the role Stakeholder Management and Leadership
  • The role involves interacting with senior IT and business personnel at level.
  • The candidate will be able to communicate with senior stakeholders to understand their requirements and manage their expectations of delivery.
  • Key stakeholders must be kept aware of the processes and procedures require for work prioritization.

Decision-making and Problem Solving
  • The candidate is expected to be able to propose solutions to complex problems that are in keeping with the existing system architecture.
  • Analysis of requirements and the system under test.
  • Creation of test cases and execution of those test cases with a heavy focus on automation.
  • Solid understanding of Equity & Derivatives markets trading experience
  • Proactive and comprehensive analysis of erroneous behaviour to assist in ascertaining the root cause of issues prior to recording in a defect tracking tool.
