Assistant Vice President, ICO CoE
Business: Finance Function
Principal responsibilities
Business:
Intercompany CoE, Finance Operations
Ability to manage and leading the ICO recharges and recoveries processes
Responsible and accountable for business service delivery parameters.
Investigate various Intercompany reconciliation, back up documentation for reconciliations and schedules
Should be proficient in financial statement closure procedures.
Strong technical knowledge of Intercompany accounting & related processes.
Analytical skills to perform Intercompany variance analysis and other analysis.
Functional experience in Intercompany accounting for all balance sheet / income statement heads
Proficient in assurance and control function related to balance sheet accounts including substantiation for the Intercompany related accounts including Adherence to FIM
Periodic review of the process controls to identify and implement preventive/detective automated/manual controls and establishing corrective actions where a risk in the process manifests as an issue
Ensure adherence to audit, assurance and compliance requirements.
Exhibit ownership of the business, understand financial impacts and identify ways to mitigate risks.
Adhere to and be able to demonstrate adherence to internal controls.
What you will need to succeed in the role:
Skills required
Very strong Accounting & reporting skills
Able to provide strategic direction and manage multiple Business Partner relationships
Proficient analytical review skills; ability to add value to customer deliverables through understanding of the business / lateral thinking
Pre-empt issues or concerns and flag these off to business partner in a timely manner
Ability to manage trouble shooting/ secondary reviews and understand all queries raised by business partner and determine escalation as necessary
Very strong ability to prepare organizationally and operationally for growth in size of department/responsibilities
Ability to drive change and strategic initiatives to realize Business Re-engineering
Lead migrations & remigrations and successfully establish processes at Fin Ops
Have an eye to detail to ensure that there is 100% review of all deliverables
Ensure high quality of output is delivered e.g. financial data in the reports etc. is accurately and correctly presented
Accounting skills
Have in-depth understanding of Intercompany transactions and various aspects of it
Preferably background of ICO recharges process
Knowledge of Inter-Company Operating Plan will be added advantage
Risks& Controls
Responsible for maintaining documentation per RCA and SOX requirement
Ensure SOPs are updated all times and tested by back ups
Adherence to Group policies (FIM/DIM), IFRS reporting requirements, audit, controls and compliance requirements
Ensure testing of processes per BC plan
Robust back up planning for uninterrupted service delivery
Customer/ Stakeholder
Excellent communication skills to be able to understand and provide satisfactory service delivery to In-Country team
Relationship Management with senior managers and at a process level
Agree on roadmap and plans for reengineering and standardization
Monitoring Performance
Hold regular calls with Business partners and eliminate areas of concerns if any
Pro-active approach to be able to deal with new requirements, ad-hoc requests and unusual variances
Experience Required
Chartered Accountant/ CPA/MBA Finance/Finance Graduate, with 10-15 years of experience
Experience of working in Financial Services Industry in Intercompany Accounting & reporting verticals
High level understanding of risk & controls / compliance
Project management / PowerPoint and presentation skills
Good understanding of Fusion, FTP, HUB, etc.)
Strong planning and organization skills
Strong technical understanding of accounting principles and demonstrated competence in their application
Ability to understand and implement Group's risk management policy
Should have demonstrated ability of driving results
Experience of interacting with internal and external auditors
Experience of assurance and compliance reviews/ SOX related reviews preferred
What additional skills will be good to have?
Knowledge of HIBS, Fusion and various GLs used across entities
Prior experience of working on any:
Workflow solutions such as Appian;
Data visualization tools such as Qlik Sense;
Data automation platforms such as Xceptor: and
