Role Responsibilities
The purpose of the Senior Manager, ESG Risk Supply Chain Management is to drive the risk related aspects of the Environmental, Social & Governance Agenda for Supply Chain Management.
The Key responsibilities of this role are to deliver the ESG/Sustainability goals in the Risk areas for the function including including climate change and SCM Human Rights commitments like Modern Slavery
Responsibilities*
Leads delivery of on SCM ESG priorities, where these are risk related
Authors risk papers on ESG matters for various risk committees
Works with Process team to embed the ESG within the end to end Vendor (including Outsourcing) life cycle
Work with the Operational Risk team to ensure relevant ESG related controls are well designed / embedded including in the RCSA. Also support / review the design of tests, exceptions, feedback loop back to process and design
Influences and support SCB Businesses and Functions to deliver our goals
Engages and actively participates with non government organisations that can support driving our Agenda
Responsible for the delivery of risk related ESG/Sustainability Metrics
Tracks and reports progress on key yearly objectives and market initiatives
Support the completion of Annual Transparency reports and other Sustainability Surveys
Supports delivery of the Discover content pathways for SCB employees
Work closely and consults with SCM MT and teams to on embedding Sustainability Practices into the vendor creation, vendor management and sourcing execution .
Supports inputs to the Sustainability Bridge site and works with the broader bank wide sustainability colleagues to ensure alignment of content across all risk elements of sustainability initiatives including but not limited to modern slavery and climate change.
Partner with the Communication Teams to improve the internal and external perception of SCM (not limited to sustainability, but with a clear focus on uplifting/positive topics such as sustainability).
Process
This role will be responsible for driving the risk aspects of the Sustainability Agenda across Supply Chain Management. Embedding Sustainability aspects across the existing Source to Pay process is key including in the RCSA.
