About the Department

HDFCBank Bancassurance is a critical and important sales department which generatesnew business to the organization and also takes care of customer servicing. Thedepartment is the biggest sales department in the organization.

What are we looking for?

Therole is leading a Business Quality Team. We are looking for a candidate who hasdemonstrated various competencies like Partner Management , Internalstakeholders management by influencing and negotiation skills. The role alsorequires a complete knowledge of all banca processes. The candidate should be agood team leader , good at managing partner and also good at managing internalstakeholders.

What does the jobentail?

Grievance Handling: The candidate has to manage bancagrievance cases. All cases coming from bank MD or coming from HDFC Life seniormanagement should be resolved within a specified TAT with end to end closure.The candidate has to collaborate with HDFC Bank grievance team and internal SRteam to close the case.

Process Improvement: Customer complaints are a good way tounderstand the process gaps and then improve on it. The candidate whileresolving customer complaints , should be able to identify the gaps inprocesses and then take up such issues with respective teams to fix up.

Thisincludes improvement in PCVC like changes in script , finding newer ways ofdoing PCVC etc. This also includes putting stringent controls at NB stage sothat we are assured that the business is a quality business.

Internal Audit of New Business &RMCU Reporting: Thecandidate will have to do internal checks on the new business done by thechannel.There are certain fixed checks that we do and if we find anydeviations during these checks , they should be highlighted to seniormanagement along with the complete RCA and solution to gaps identified.

Thesechecks are extended to new as well as existing policies and its expected toreport to RMCU for further investigation if found any deviation

Regulatory Submission: This is to be prepared and submittedto HDFC Bank for further submission to their internal teams and RBI. Thisexercise has a defined formats and data needs to be shared with bank team inthose formats.

Reporting to HBank via Various MIS: There is a defined schedule on which MISneed to be shared with bank. These MIS includes conversion data , pending data, maturity/surrender data , AML data etc.

Controlling Business Leakage: Controlling pre conversion and postconversion is one of the key activities in this role.

Resolution of Sales Queries: The role also demands a solution tothe queries raised by sales team. These queries are related to NB process andservicing requests also.

Monitoring Inter-DepartmentalProcesses and Implementing it:There are certain processes made by other departments but banca channel is akey department in those processes. These are related to Underwriting , COP ,Non Walk in surrender , C-Sat etc and the expectation is to collaborate withthe owners of these processes and implement it at Banca channel.
