Structured cabling (Cat5e/Cat6): pulling, termination, labeling, and testing
Basic LAN/WAN concepts (IP addressing, DHCP, DNS - foundational understanding)
Network-based AV systems (AV over IP - basic exposure)
Switch configuration basics (VLAN awareness, PoE concepts)
Testing tools: LAN tester, cable certifier (basic)
Tools & Technical Skills
Crimping RJ45 connectors and AV terminations
Soldering AV connectors
Use of hand and power tools (drills, cutters, testers)
Reading and interpreting AV, electrical, and network diagrams
Basic computer configuration and troubleshooting
Roles & Responsibilities
Assist in installation and integration of AV and network infrastructure.
Configure and test AV devices connected over IP networks.
Troubleshoot AV, connectivity, and signal flow issues.
Coordinate with networking and IT teams for system deployment.
Ensure adherence to safety standards, site guidelines, and SLAs.
Support live meetings and events as required.
