The AV Engineer is responsible for designing, installing, configuring, and maintaining audio-visual systems, including video conferencing, projection, sound, and control systems. The role involves providing technical support for live and virtual meetings, ensuring seamless AV operations, and troubleshooting system issues promptly.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, configure, and install AV systems including displays, projectors, audio systems, video conferencing, and control equipment (Crestron, Extron, AMX, etc.).
Handle setup, operation, and maintenance of AV equipment for meetings, events, and conferences.
Conduct system testing, calibration, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
Provide on-site and remote AV support to end-users and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Manage AV system integration with IT infrastructure and network systems.
Maintain documentation of system configurations, wiring diagrams, and equipment inventory.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for installations, upgrades, and repairs.
Ensure preventive maintenance and timely updates of AV systems.
Stay updated with the latest AV technologies and recommend improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electronics, Electrical, IT, or related field.
3-7 years of experience in AV installation, maintenance, or operations.
Hands-on experience with AV systems such as Crestron, Extron, Biamp, Poly, Cisco, Logitech, or similar.
Strong understanding of signal flow (audio, video, and control).
Knowledge of networking basics (IP addressing, switching, cabling).
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and client-handling skills.
Certification in AV technologies (Crestron, Extron, CTS, etc.) preferred.
