Collaborate with project teams to understand client requirements and develop AV system designs using CAD software.
Create detailed schematics, layouts, and equipment specifications for audio, video, and control systems.
Generate accurate and precise CAD drawings, including floor plans, elevations, equipment rack layouts, and wiring diagrams.
Ensure all designs comply with project specifications, industry standards, and best practices.
Stay updated with the latest AV technologies, products, and industry trends.
Recommend appropriate AV equipment, configurations, and solutions based on client needs and project requirements.
Work closely with internal teams (project managers, engineers, and technicians) to coordinate design activities and ensure seamless integration of AV systems.
Collaborate with external stakeholders (architects and contractors) to ensure proper coordination and successful implementation of designs.
Review and validate AV design documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
Participate in system testing and troubleshooting activities to ensure optimal system performance.
Provide technical support during the project lifecycle, including site visits, equipment selection and procurement, and addressing design-related queries.
Perform systems drawing documentation using CAD software for the fabrication and installation of audio-visual systems.
Maintain a standard CAD block library and ensure the organization of all CAD files.
Communicate and interact professionally with internal employees, clients, and colleagues.
Possess knowledge of signal flow for audio, video, and control systems.
Familiarity with site surveys and audio-visual, mechanical, and electrical facility drawings
REQUIREMENTS:
Relevant degree or diploma in Engineering or a related discipline.
3-5 years of experience as a CAD engineer, with a focus on AV systems design.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools) for creating detailed AV system designs.
Strong understanding of AV concepts, equipment, and industry standards, including audio systems, video displays, control systems, and signal flow.
Knowledge of AV installation practices, equipment mounting, and cabling is a plus.
Work hours may vary based on client requirements and may include travel to various locations in support of the account.
