General Summary:

• Solid hands-on software design and development experience on complex embedded computing platforms for atleast 3 to 6 years
• Strong programming experience in C/C++, as well as hands-on experience debugging complex embedded software.
• Demonstrated embedded system software development experience – including kernels, device drivers and board-support packages.
• Experience using industry standard development tools - e.g. tool-chains, IDEs, configuration management etc.
• Ability to contribute to all phases of software development - bring-up, design and deployment.
• Demonstrated ability to work with engineers, partners and customers, and across the different geographical sites and technology domains.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Hands-on experience developing and optimizing kernels and algorithms on heterogenous architectures, imaging and vision accelerators would be a plus.

The Qualcomm Global Automotive team is actively engaged in offering optimized solutions for Autonomous Driving systems. We are seeking ambitious, bright and innovative software engineers and leaders to be part of this initiative. Job activities span the whole product life cycle from early R&D to commercial deployment. The environment is fast-paced and requires cross-functional interactions on a daily basis, so good communication, planning and execution skills are a must.

Responsibilities shall include the following:

• Design and implementation of vision and image processing pipelines on Qualcomm’s Autonomous/ADAS SoCs and platforms.
• Closely collaborate with product owners and domain/technology experts to define the specifications, lead the software design/implementation, and integrate/validate software in a larger system.
• Own the complete camera and ISP driver stack development from the requirement to design to development and bug fixing.
• Actively engage with Automotive OEMs, Tier-1s and ISVs to implement solutions based on of Qualcomm Automotive platforms.

• Experience designing complex fault-tolerant safety systems and designing in accordance to industry standard specifications (eg. ISO26262, ASPICE).
• Working knowledge of operating systems like QNX, Linux and other RTOSs
• Knowledge of frameworks and SDKs for Vision/ Image processing/ Machine Learning (eg. OpenCV, OpenCL, etc.)
