The Automobile Technician is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure they operate efficiently and safely. The technician works closely with the service advisor and workshop team to deliver high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, wheel alignment, and brake inspections.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Repair or replace faulty parts, components, and systems.
Conduct vehicle inspections and road tests after repairs.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
Follow standard repair procedures and safety guidelines.
Communicate effectively with the service advisor regarding job status and additional repairs needed.
Ensure workshop tools and equipment are properly maintained.
Stay updated with new automotive technologies and repair techniques.
Skills and Qualifications:
ITI / Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering.
Proven experience as an Automobile Technician or Mechanic in a dealership or service center.
Strong knowledge of automotive systems (engine, transmission, brakes, electrical, etc.).
Ability to use diagnostic tools and service equipment.
Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
