Automobile Service General ManagerRoles & Responsibilities1. Overall Operations Management

Oversee daily operations of the service department (workshop, parts, customer service) Ensure smooth workflow, productivity, and efficiency Set operational goals and performance standards
2. Customer Satisfaction & Service Quality

Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention Handle escalated customer complaints and resolve major service issues Maintain service quality standards and brand guidelines
3. Financial & Business Management

Manage service department budgets, expenses, and profitability Monitor key financial metrics (revenue, margins, labor efficiency) Approve pricing strategies, discounts, and service packages Control costs and maximize department revenue
4. Staff Leadership & Human Resources

Recruit, train, and develop service managers, advisors, and technicians Set performance targets and conduct evaluations Motivate teams and maintain a positive work environment Ensure proper scheduling and workforce planning
5. Service Process & Productivity

Improve workshop efficiency and turnaround time Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) Monitor technician productivity and job quality Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and diagnostic systems
6. Parts & Inventory Coordination

Coordinate with parts department for availability and inventory control Reduce parts shortages and excess inventory Ensure correct parts usage and warranty compliance
7. Warranty & Compliance Management

Oversee warranty claims and manufacturer policies Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and legal regulations Maintain accurate service records and documentation
8. Sales & Business Development

Promote value-added services, maintenance plans, and service contracts Support service marketing campaigns and customer retention programs Analyze market trends and customer needs
9. Reporting & Performance Monitoring

Review service KPIs (CSI scores, RO count, revenue, comeback rate) Prepare reports for senior management or owners Use data to identify issues and improve performance
10. Manufacturer & Vendor Relations

Act as key contact with automobile manufacturers Ensure dealership/service center meets audit and certification requirements Manage relationships with vendors and external service providers
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
