• Under moderate supervision plan & execute test projects, and enhancements/fixes on applications, managing any risks and dependencies

• Participate in project test requirement analysis

• Under minimal supervision, create test ware including test scenarios, test cases, test data, automated test scripts, assist in estimates creation, assist in reporting

• Execute tests and collate evidence

• Defect tracking and reporting

• Mitigate/escalate risks and issues to Test Lead and Delivery Manager as appropriate

• Support integration, user and operational testing

• Demonstrate implementation of process, strategy and/or testing improvement/efficiencies

What will you be doing?

• Assist in impact analysis, test estimation and test planning for projects

• Understand the functional requirements, systems architecture and test environment landscape

• Raise environment dependencies and highlight any risks to the Test Lead and Delivery Manager

• Create test scripts (manual and automated) and test data based on the test scope

• Execute manual and automation tests using both automation and manual tools as applicable aligning to overall test strategy defined

• Raise defects, provide sufficient details and logs for further analysis and work with development teams to close the defects with appropriate root cause analysis documented

• Produce regular test metrics and test reports

• Escalate any risks and issues to Test Lead as appropriate and in a timely manner providing options to resolve

• Provide own ideas to innovate and automate testing activities applicable to support the automation and continuous improvement journey

• Support Integration, User and Operational Testing

• Assist the Test Lead in any operational tasks of managing a team and support adoption of new processes/tools

• Take ownership of the work assigned and handle any issues with minimal supervision

• Build constructive working relationships within the team

• Ensure compliance to organisation wide process and operations guidelines

What we’re looking for:

• Experience of working in an agile project team

• Excellent communication skills

• Strong evidence of stakeholder management at all levels

• In-depth knowledge and extensive experience on workflow application and business rules engine on large-scale banking applications used by the PB business and other group functions

• Understand software development methods, tools and standards and look for ways to apply as appropriate.

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Well versed with Agile project delivery & exposure to JIRA along with other Agile tools
• Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills
• Ability to quickly learn new business domains and processes.
• Exposure to Banking projects – mortgages domain
