We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Lead to drive the development and execution of automated test frameworks and test benches for embedded IoMT devices. This role requires deep expertise in embedded systems, medical device compliance, and automation strategy. You will lead a team of test engineers and collaborate closely with firmware, electrical and mechanical, and software teams to ensure robust, scalable, and regulatory-compliant testing.
As a lead the person will be responsible for defining, building, and executing automation strategies and teams. The automation lead should have a have a strong test automation background. The test lead will partner with the Architects, Technical leads and Systems team. Key outcomes on the role shall be on product quality and time to market for medical device. You shall ensure best practices of software test automation are followed by the team and improved as needed. Responsibilities include designing, developing, automating, executing, and maintaining test cases, ensuring quality through reviews, and writing tests alongside the team. The Test Automation Lead will represent the team and report progress to leadership.

Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, the Test Automation lead will play the below responsibilities:
Develop the overall automation strategy for a next generation embedded IoMT System
Strategizing and executing End to End automated verification
Work with the software developers to implement integration and verification automation at all levels of the software system
Design and implement automation frameworks tailored for embedded medical devices.
Develop and maintain test benches for hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), firmware, and system-level testing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation into CI/CD/CT pipelines.
Ensure test coverage for functional, Security, Interoperability, performance, reliability, and safety requirements
Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and results for regulatory audits
Mentor and guide automation engineers
Strong programming skills in Python and scripting for automation
Proven experience in automation frameworks like Squish/ Test complete / Robot framework
Experience in Linux based systems
Familiarity with medical device standards (e.g., IEC 62304 -SDLC, ISO 13485)
Exposure with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, simulators).
Designing functional and automated tests and test harnesses application and services under test
Strong Experience in BDD, TDD
Drive a culture of quality through different testing approaches like, design tests, exploratory, unit tests.
Work closely with PO and LSDs to understand the requirements and how it translates to feature file scenarios
Shall have Agile culture and ensure all deliverables of a sprint are adequately tested w.r.t the sub-system requirements to ensure robust software deliverables
Communicate effectively in a cross-functional, multi-cultural, global environment
Leveraging GENAI to optimize automation test development and reduce test execution time
Minimum Educational Qualifications and Relevant experience
Bachelor's Degree in STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with a 9+ years' experien
ce out of which minimum of 7+ years of experience in test automation
Proven ability to develop timely and effective solutions for challenging testing and debugging complex design problems
Technical Qualifications:
Strong experience in test automation development using Python, Squish
Strong experience in Behaviour Driven Development and Test-Driven Development frameworks
Strong hands-on experience in software testing methodologies including manual and automated testing
Continuous Integration, Continuous Development experience with Jenkins, GIT or equivalent tools.
Experience in Linux OS products
Knowledge of bugs/defects life cycle
Knowledge of tools like Rally, ALM/ JAMA/ Doors, ClearQuest
Familiarity with quality system requirements for medical device Design Controls/ Regulatory requirements
Good to have experience in containerization platforms like Docker

Excellent understanding of Agile delivery methodology and experience in working with Scrum teams in a global setup.
Prior experience in Healthcare/Patient monitoring will be an added advantage.
