This Position reports to:


Manager - Competency Development

In this role, you will design and deliver impactful training programs in industrial automation and robotics, supporting regional trainings, workshops, and skill development initiatives. Reporting to the Manager - Competency Development, you will play a key role in building technical capabilities and fostering a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence.


This role will be working as an Automation Engineer within B&R - Machine Automation Division, based in Pune, India.

Roles & responsibilities

Develop and deliver training programs on industrial automation systems (e.g., PLCs, Motion, robotics, HMI, Software Technologies, industrial communication protocols). Evaluate training effectiveness and continuously improve content and delivery methods. Conduct skill assessments and identify training needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align training with business goals. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in industrial automation to keep the training content relevant. Provide guidance to trainees during and after the training program. Ensure the training facility and the setups are well maintained and in good working order

Qualification of the role

Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical / electronics / instrumentation /mechatronics) 3+ years of experience in industrial automation or technical training. Prior experience in technical training or mentoring is a strong plus. Proficiency in PLC programming Familiarity with VFDs, servo systems, industrial sensors, and safety systems. Good knowledge of communication protocols: Modbus, CANopen, OPCUA. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Confident in communication in the English language and local language. A genuine passion for mentoring and helping others develop their technical skills.
