The Software Automation Engineer is responsible for writing, maintaining, and architecting automated test cases. The Software Automation Engineer will also support the team via troubleshooting, answering questions, and brainstorming solutions.

Your tasks:

• Automate test cases to validate new features as they are developed and raising any issues with the product team and software engineers.
• Maintain a suite of automated tests to ensure product health.
• Assist in automation of regression testing.
• Communicate clearly and directly with the tech team. You\xe2\x80\x99re able to articulate why you feel certain changes should be made; you also listen well to why they don\xe2\x80\x99t want to make them.
• Ability to work towards compromise, rarely needing the manager to intervene.
• Assist with reporting of automated test metrics and rate of defect discovery.

Qualifications

• Must speak Fluent English
• At least 3+ years of professional automated testing experience.
• Experience with automated testing tools (Selenium, Playwright)
• Experience with automated testing using C#, Java, and/or Javascript/Typescript.
• A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience testing web-based applications, using browser developer tools, and performing cross-browser testing.
• Experience with issue tracking software like Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with test case management software.
• Experience with Git/GitHub.

• Able to write clearly and concisely. Able to distill complex concepts and present them in an easily understood way (this includes both explaining features and documenting bugs).
• Self-motivation and creative problem-solving.
• A willingness to learn and a strong work ethic.
• Enthusiasm for being part of a small team making a global impact in the venue industry (Convention Centers, Arenas, Performing Arts Centers).
