Position Overview
The
Automation Engineer - Physical Site Support
will be responsible for on-site implementation, testing, and troubleshooting of automation systems supplied by Asiatic Traders. The role involves close coordination with the central engineering team based in Indore and offers an opportunity to work directly on industrial automation projects in the
food, beverage, and process industries
across Gujarat.
This position is ideal for
young engineers
passionate about
PLC, HMI, SCADA, and instrumentation integration
, with opportunities for growth into design and commissioning roles after successful completion of the training period.
Key Responsibilities
Support
installation, wiring verification, and commissioning
of automation panels and instruments at site.
Perform
PLC logic testing, I/O mapping, and system validation
under guidance of senior engineers.
Assist in
troubleshooting communication, sensor, and field issues
(Profinet / Modbus / Ethernet).
Coordinate with
customers and internal teams
for smooth handover and documentation.
Execute
Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
and
Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)
as per company standards.
Maintain project records such as
as-built drawings, loop reports, and service logs
.
Follow company
EHS and QAP procedures
during all site work.
Support integration with
SCADA systems (FactoryTalk Optix / WinCC / FTView)
.
Participate in technical discussions, client demonstrations, and training sessions.
Skills & Competencies
Good understanding of
PLC / HMI programming (Siemens, Rockwell, or Festo)
.
Strong grasp of
industrial communication protocols
(Profinet, Modbus, RS485).
Ability to read
electrical wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and control logic charts
.
Knowledge of
instrumentation (pressure, flow, level, and temperature transmitters)
.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on real-time site challenges.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with clients and internal teams.
Willingness to
travel extensively across Gujarat
for project execution and support.
Qualification & Experience
B.E./B.Tech
or
Diploma
in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Mechatronics.
0-3 years
of experience in industrial automation.
Fresher candidates
from reputed automation training institutes with
score above 7.0/10
are encouraged to apply.
Hands-on exposure to
TIA Portal / Studio 5000 / CCW / FactoryTalk Optix
will be preferred.
Work Environment
On-site work at customer facilities (food, beverage, dairy, or process plants).
Reporting remotely to central engineering team at Indore.
Training and periodic review sessions will be conducted through hybrid/online mode.
