- Automation Engineer

The Automation Engineer - Fuel Automation & Instrumentation will be responsible for installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fuel automation, instrumentation, electrical, and networking systems to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operations at assigned sites.

Key Responsibilities

Installation, commissioning, and maintenance of Fuel Automation Systems, including Automatic Tank Gauging (ATG), flowmeters, tank gauges, and dispenser interfaces. Perform electrical and instrumentation maintenance as per site requirements and safety standards. Execute field commissioning and calibration of automation and instrumentation equipment. Carry out preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability and minimize downtime. Attend and resolve corrective maintenance and breakdown calls within defined timelines. Diagnose faults and troubleshoot issues related to hardware, software, and field devices. Handle networking activities including cabling, connectivity checks, and communication troubleshooting between devices. Coordinate with project engineers, site personnel, and BPCL representatives for smooth execution of tasks. Ensure compliance with safety standards, SOPs, and BPCL guidelines. Maintain service reports, calibration records, and maintenance documentation.

Required Skills & Competencies

Knowledge of fuel automation and instrumentation systems. Hands-on experience with electrical and instrumentation equipment. Basic understanding of networking and communication systems. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Good communication and coordination abilities. Strict adherence to safety and operational standards.

Educational Qualification & Experience

Diploma or Degree in Electrical Instrumentation Electronics, or a related engineering discipline. Prior experience in fuel automation systems or oil & gas projects will be an added advantage.
