Position: Electrical & Automation Engineer

Location: Bangalore and Field-Based

Experience: 2- 3 Years

Qualification: Diploma / B.E. in Electrical Engineering/ Industrial Automation

Salary : 40K - 45K per month

About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Electrical & Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in industrial electrical systems and automation, particularly in PLC, HMI, Drives, and Communication Protocols, with hands-on experience in troubleshooting and programming. Technical Skills

Strong hands-on experience in PLC programming (Siemens Simatic Manager, TIA Portal, Microwin). Proficiency in Ladder Logic and Structured Text programming languages. Experience in configuring and troubleshooting HMI systems (Siemens, Schneider). In-depth knowledge of communication protocols:
o Modbus RTU / ASCII

o Modbus TCP/IP

o PROFINET

o PROFIBUS

Strong understanding of Servo drives, VFDs, Encoders, and basic drive selection. Familiar with field sensors and actuators (inductive, capacitive, optical, pneumatic). Able to read and interpret electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams. Working knowledge of electrical safety standards, grounding, and control panel practices. Industry-Specific Skills Experience in conveyor systems and packaging machinery automation. Familiarity with panel design, I/O wiring, interlocks, and motor control circuits. Ability to work across multiple PLC/HMI brands and integrate them in a single system. Troubleshooting & Adaptability Quick diagnostic ability for automation and electrical faults in live production environments. Must be confident to handle unplanned faults and real-time issues during trials or customer site visits. Strong debugging skills across control systems, including sensors, drives, and controllers. Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset. Excellent communication and technical documentation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team. Willingness to learn and adapt to new automation platforms and evolving technologies.
Tools & Software

Proficiency in TIA Portal, Simatic Manager, Vijeo Designer, and basic SCADA interfaces. Familiarity with control panel design tools, simulation/testing tools, and diagnostic software. Teamwork & Communication
oCoordinate effectively with mechanical, electrical, and project teams during assembly, testing, and commissioning.

oShould be able to communicate clearly with production heads, supervisors, and vendors.

oPrepare simple technical documentation or wiring sketches during and after installation. Work Environment Awareness

oWilling to work on shop floors, visit customer sites, and sometimes travel for machine installation/commissioning.

oAware of electrical safety practices, PPE usage, and industrial work culture.

oFlexible with extended hours during breakdowns or urgent project trials.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹480,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
